Then the guests will drink a little each time that the host will full their wine bowl for three times. At the last time the guests should drink over all the liquor.



For most Tibetans, they won't eat horseflesh, donkey and dog meat. Locals in some Tibetan areas even do not eat fish. Tibetans believe both dogs and horses are human that can't be eaten. And the donkey in Tibetan eyes is so dirty that they also won't eat. The garlic is anther diet taboo for Tibetans. They won't eat garlic before they will go to temple or do preyer. They are afraid thse smell of garlic will stain the holy palace and smoked there dirty. Some of the devot people of Buddhist faith never have garlic. So when you are in Tibetan areas please don't talk about eating these.



              The main scenic spots in Tibet are temples. When you visite temples you must walking in clockwise direction on the Circumanbulation. Many old Tibetans walking around the temple followed by some sheep with red silk on horn. This kind of sheep is so called free captive sheep that no one can disturb them. While entering the Buddhist Temple travelers should not speak loudly or touch the figure of Buddha. It's also forbidden to take photos or record a video without permission.

Tea-Horse Road

the dietary habit of Tibetans

Most of Tibetans follows three meals a day except the harvest time. The harder labor intensive at that time has increased their appetite that they will have even four or five meals a day. Tibetans take Tsanba as their main food especially in pastoral area. Tsaba looks like the fried noodle in north China. When Tibetans eat Tsanba, they will put some yak butter into the bowl and some tea as well. Then mix Tsanba flour by fingers. In the past years Tibetans ate little vegetables. They will dry the red meat which has cut into strip in winter by wind and keep it for a long time. Tibetans also regard the buttered tea as daily drink cooking with milk for the supplement of Vitamin deficiency.

The cooker used by Tibetans is also unique and full of local characteristic. In the Tibetan area, every family has ghee tea canister and tea pot. People live in most parts of Tibet use dry cow dung as fuel for the burner and take the iron triangle as stovetop. Locals in Tibetan pasturing area always carry with a refined Tibetan Dao mainly used for cutting food killing sheep peeling and setting up the tent.

Yarlung Zangbo River

The dragon-like river is the mother river for Tibetans and the origin of human culture at the same time.

Chimpu Meditation Centers near Samye Monastery

Tibetan antelope's back is reddish brown and the abdomen is light brown or grayish white. Adult male Tibetan antelope's face is black which legs have black markings. Most of Tibetan antelopes live in plateau permafrost areas, the desert, ice sheets tundra and the place near lakes or swamp. In 1996 Tibetan antelope classified as a vulnerable species by the International Union for conservation of nature and listed as the endangered species in 2000. The lake is at an elevation of 4588 meters that the average depth is 46 meters with a maximum depth of 81.8 meters, covering an area of 412 square kilometers. The transparency is14 meters.

Lake Manasarovar is called " the holy lake" by Buddhism. Every summer and autumn, Buddhist will carry the aged and the youth to pilgrimage and have a bath in the holy water in order to prolong life. Almost all of the Tibetan people will praise the water tastes very sweet .Next to Lake Manasarovar there is Lake Tug Tso called ghost lake by Tibetans means " the toxic black lake ". the special stone pot in Tibet


People have Tibet travel must heard Me-tog, the last village of Chinese territory flowed through by the Yarlung Zangbo River before it feeds into India River. Located in the southeastern Tibet, Me-tog is also the most remote village with impassability highway that produces the stone pot.



Because the bad environment and frequent disasters in Yarlung Zangbo River which constitutes the huge barriers and gaps that hardly step over, Me-tog becomes the longly island of plateau, ar away from the modern society, idyllic as Arcadia. What's more, the outside story goes that Me-tog is a land of mystery called "white corner and white horse hill "which means hidden lotus shrine by Buddhists.



Pangxin in Me-tog is the main produce area of stone pot. The locals take the stone from Mt. Namcha Barwa (people travel to Everest Base Camp must know it is the 15th highest mountain in the world)to chisel pot. That so called "black stone" is very special only can be seen in Me-tog. This kind of stone is very valued soapstone with quality of soft material in the world. The barrel-sharped gray stone pot is resistant to high temperature of 2000 centigrade. If you use the stone pot cook food, the food will have more fragrant and delicious soup that taste mellow and the smell lasts longer. It is said that when you often use the stone pot cooking food, it has obvious healthy care for human body especially for hypertension, heart disease, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease patients.



Because of the special climate the quarrying time is limited only in July and August. Quarriers will prepare enough food, water and firewood before enter the mountain. While the stone pots  are finished, the locals carry them by yak and horses and soak them in Yarlung Zangbo River about 30 days before use. Tibetans like cooking by the stone pot since ancient times. Now the stone pot ever used by Sontzen gampo is still kept in the Potala Palace that the living Buddha and aristocracy have their private stone pot in history. The Rongbuk Glacier, located in the Himalaya of southern Tibet, has two large tributary glaciers including the East and West Rongbuk Glaciers flow into the Rongbuk Glacier. It flows north and forms the Rongbuk Valley in the north of Mount Everest. The famous Rongbuk Monastery is located at the northern end of the Rongbuk valley, which is the only temple with highest altitude in the world, through which windows you can see Mt.Everest clearly. Mount Everest is the source of the Rongbuk Glacier and East Rongbuk Glacier.



Because of its unique scenery shows special glamour, travelers always take it as"the park in plateau". Three large glaciers get together and then to the north holding Mt.Everest which looks like a wondrous pyramid that straight up into the sky. People fix the gaze on Rongbuk Glacier will be immersed in its transcendency, purty and solemn atmosphere.



When you travel to Everest Base Camp, you will have a stop here. Climbing expeditions and trekking parties use this glacier to reach the Advanced Base Camp of Mount Everest at the upper end of the East Rongbuk Glacier. Red snow in Himalayas

As we all know, the color of snow is pure, but once when the Chinese climbers arrived the Himalayas, they found that there is some rose color snow in the ice world with the elevation of 5000 meters. So, how was it formed? Why it could be seen only in Himalayas? And how did scientists give explanation?



The mystery rose snow seems pretty fantastic. The discoverer described that on the roof of the world Himalayas climbers always see this kind of rose-clouds-like snow appeared. It looks as gorgeous as rose and as well as the bloody red silk which becomes the unique mystery phenomenon only in Tibet.



So how was it formed and found? Well, According to the scientists analysis, the rose snow on Himalaya mountains consists of Chlamydomonas nivalis, stream Chlorella and snow Ankistrodesmus. Algae is lower plant that has pigment can carry out of photosynthesis. Based on the different proportion of their containing pigment, they will show different color. These snow algae contain special pigment called blood-red pigment. When the snow-white mountains covered by these snow algae in the sunshine, the snowy Himalayas looks as red as the sunglow but more bright and colorful.



As for its discovery, it would like to thank the scientists team. Once they were doing  investigation in Himalayas. When Sundowners they just went down the mountain from the elevation of more than 5000 meters, they looked up the mountain in their back, found that the color of main peak had turned fire-red like a rose clothe covered the snowy mountains. From then on the legend of mystery rose-red snow spread out very soon in the world.


Cordyceps

Chinese caterpillar fungus is fungus which is a special kind of insect and fungi symbiotic organisms. In summer on the mountains with elevation of 3800 meters, the bat moth larvae have infected Chinese caterpillar fungus will gradually creep to die deep in 2 or 3 cm with head down and tail up, which is called "the insect in the winter". Though the insect died but the Chinese caterpillar fungus will grow full to fill all the insect body. When next new summer starts a purple grass will start out from the head of insect with a height of two to five centimeters which top has pineapple shaped capsule shell and that is so called" the grass in summer" in which time has the most full development and highest effective ingredients. So summer is the best pick season for Cordyceps.

It is said that the Tibetan Cordyceps look bright and oil smell a strong butter flavor. Cordycepin can significantly enhance red blood cell adhesion ability of tumor cells, inhibition of tumor growth and metastasis and significantly improve the number of white blood cell and platelet. It can also rapidly improved the nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, insomnia and other symptoms of hair loss caused by after putting in a chemotherapy.

In Tibetan pronunciation Tibetan opera is called "Ache Lhamo" which means "the fairy sisters". Me-tog stone pot


People have Tibet travel must heard Me-tog, the last village of Chinese territory flowed through by the Yarlung Zangbo River before it feeds into India River. Located in the southeastern Tibet, Me-tog is also the most remote village with impassability highway that produces the stone pot.



Because the bad environment and frequent disasters in Yarlung Zangbo River which constitutes the huge barriers and gaps that hardly step over, Me-tog becomes the longly island of plateau, ar away from the modern society, idyllic as Arcadia. Pangxin in Me-tog is the main produce area of stone pot. The locals take the stone from Mt. Namcha Barwa (people travel to Everest Base Camp must know it is the 15th highest mountain in the world)to chisel pot. That so called "black stone" is very special only can be seen in Me-tog. This kind of stone is very valued soapstone with quality of soft material in the world. The barrel-sharped gray stone pot is resistant to high temperature of 2000 centigrade. Now the stone pot ever used by Sontzen gampo is still kept in the Potala Palace that the living Buddha and aristocracy have their private stone pot in history. rainbow appears when the senior monk die




People have Tibet travel are always attracted by the mystical religion atmosphere. Tibetan Buddhism shows its unique style compared with Buddhism in other places of China. Rongbuk Glacier in Tibet

The Rongbuk Glacier, located in the Himalaya of southern Tibet, has two large tributary glaciers including the East and West Rongbuk Glaciers flow into the Rongbuk Glacier. It flows north and forms the Rongbuk Valley in the north of Mount Everest. The famous Rongbuk Monastery is located at the northern end of the Rongbuk valley, which is the only temple with highest altitude in the world, through which windows you can see Mt.Everest clearly. Mount Everest is the source of the Rongbuk Glacier and East Rongbuk Glacier.



Because of its unique scenery shows special glamour, travelers always take it as"the park in plateau". Three large glaciers get together and then to the north holding Mt.Everest which looks like a wondrous pyramid that straight up into the sky. Their faces and appearance are dirty but their hearts are pure and clean. They worships from far places to the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple in Lhasa. They worship piously that Brave the wind and dew with kowtow each three steps all the way. If they meet river that obstruct their worship, they will evaluate and verify the distance and then make up latter. They believe in karma, reincarnation and eternity, They will kowtow hundreds thousand after get Jokhang Temple counted by prayer beads in their hands. If they died unfortunately, Their left teeth after Tibetan sky burial will be stuck on the pillars of Jokhang Temple. When the pilgrims do not have enough expenses, they will insist even begging till arrive in their holy land.



From day to night there are lots of people kowtow on the square flags before the gate of Jokhang Temple. After day by day, the square flags was whetted smooth groves. Some old pilgrims even freezing to die in their worship. Those who come from far places kowtow with each step and begging for live always die on the worship way. They are born for worship that Lhasa is their final destination. They lie prostrate at the foot of hall fall on their knees and up repeated, shut hands up to the sky and then put them on chest. At that time ,they are praying and contacting with gods that through whose eyes you can feel the heaven nearby.


The images on the prayer flags


People have Tibet travel always see many colorful flags hanging on the mountains or over the Mani Stones especially on the Tibetan railway . That is so called prayer flags. The birth of prayer flags comes from a kind of original sacrifice that worshiping the soul of animals. The sacrifice is very related to the symbol of image printed on flags.



 The middle of the flag is a running horse which represents amazing speed. Tibetans pray that all the things in the world restricted by five natural objects will turn from opposition to harmony, from bad to good, from evil to kindness, from bad omen to auspicious omen, from doom to luck. The four beasts images on the flags in four corners shows thinkable and reasonable with interactive art. Tiger represents wood or wind lying in the forest. Lion represents earth living on the mountain, huge albatross with two horn represents fire flying in the sky that spits fire. Dragon represents water swimming in the sea with the fish-like figure. The wind anywhere means the heaven. Tibetans do not draw the forest, the high mountains, the sky, the sea directly but choose  the animals live in that environment as symbols. People have Tibet travel always see many colorful flags hanging on the mountains or over the Mani Stones especially on the Tibetan railway . That is so called prayer flags. The birth of prayer flags comes from a kind of original sacrifice that worshiping the soul of animals. Tibetan religion believes that the god of mountain is the local guardian and protects the locals anytime. To give thanks to the pray of god of mountain, the devout Tibetans will hold solemn ceremony and offer the prayer flags.



The prayer flags were born for the Religion and for its driving which is medium links the spiritual world of monks and laymen believers and gods. No matter when Tibetans celebrate birthday or new years will they hang prayer flags which represent the harmony and luck of the heaven, the earth, the people and the animals. When spring comes Tibetans tie prayer flags on the cattle's horns to thanks the earth god and hope to have a good harvest. Prayer flags hang on the trees in the mountain pass direct the way for the walkers. Tibetans will also raise the prayer flags near the celestial rock when there is a funeral to pinning all grief. Together with the prayer flags, Tibetans always tie their bracelets, hats, hair and wool with the help of which can increase their luck.
