This is a
special journey which you should explore your physical power and psychic power
in maximum. It is not only an experience of nature in sightseeing, but also a
feeling of deep heart.
Now
that you want to witness simple face of Medog, before its transportation gets
convenience, you must accept its condition now available; that means you must trek in plateau, climb
over Snow Mountain, pass through terrific leech canyon, and then turn over
collapse and dangerous places…finally, arrive in Medog. However, you must have hearted constantly
about the rough of Medog trek. Trekkers prefer to describe Medog by “dead line”, “wild animal’s journey” or “travel with death”. Then you must ask yourself why you
trek to Medog! Actually most of trekkers and travelers can not answer this
question in a sure; challenging yourself is seemly a nice answer, so does
seeking lotus flower;
As far as I am concerned, in our
whole life and live, there must be a little impulse and sprite. No matter how
difficult it is, it is enough that you do not regret. Once you make decision,
you should not hesitate. Much less, there is the deepest and longest canyon;
weather is changed in a short distance; you will meet view of four seasons in a
day. Always, the Moinba nationality, a kind of nationality owns language but no
word, and it is seclude from the world.
Baima Snow Mountain
All the time, people always fantasy that they will see more magnificent scene
after they get into Medog. Namcha Brawa Mountain is a typical scenic point
among sights of Medog. It is said by local people that Namcha Brawa Mountain is
usually can be witnessed, but it is decided by luck. Surely, it does not matter
that you can not see Namcha Brawa Mountain; Baima Snow Mountain is always can
be witnessed. In the morning, fogs disperse totally, Baima Snow Mountain lifts
its veil, and it seems there is no any words can describe its beauty and charm.
Just like a young girl, shy and kingly. The snow is like a white skirt which dress
up the Baima Snow Mountain perfectly. Some fogs are around with the Snow
Mountain; it becomes some decorations in front of its real face and adds a lot
of mysteries to Baima Snow Mountain. Baima Mountain is so pure that make me think
about Namcha Brawa Mountain involuntarily. How it is like now? Is it a pure
girl just like Baima Mountain? Or is it other style just like a kingly noble? Personally,
I am inclined to side with the latter opinion. A mountain which makes people
fall in love with it deeply, there must be some reasons such as its charm of
ripe and unique.
There is an old poem which is written by Li Po, a famous poet in Tang
Dynasty. It means that it is easy to climb to heaven than take the Sichuan
road. However, when you are in Medog line, you can really realize how difficult
and rough the road is. If you are having Tibet travel from Sichuan,
Sichuan road does not matter which competes to Medog. You will be really
surprised by the road of Medog although you have referred to so much information.
Instead pointing it as a road, rather than describe that those are just some
tracks of ancient people. More exactly speaking, those are marks when snow
water melts and all of mountains torn to pieces. When the road is in front of
you, you will be really have no choices but go on your China and Tibet travel.
All of the whole roads have no smooth piece; always, it is difficult for you to
foot. Road is formed by stones, and it is pretty terrible. You must jump and go
on stone road; it will take you much physical strength. So be careful and
careful, but I do not mean you should think for a long time before you make a
step. Actually, it will cost you more physical and psychic power; you should no
hesitation whatever you meet, no matter it is cold water, dirty quagmire or
other difficulties.
Spending of
physical power is ok; on the contrary, what more rough is psychic spending. Surely,
it is different as the experience when you are in Tibet train, that kind of
feel is boring and expected; whereas, you will be pretty nervous and everything
is unexpected when you are trekking. There are so many collapse areas; you must
focus intensive attention on everything when you pass that. Keeping distance
with your partner, and making cooperation with each others. People who are
behind another one should observe mountain top so that prevent its stone. And
then pass the way one by one to step on previous footprint. There is no road in
the world, but it is after there are many people walk. The road of Medog is
just like this;
Relatively
speak to urban people, local people of Medog are more cute and pure. Although
you can not communicate with them in language, it does not matter. There are
some Monpa girls you can meet along the way; they are in simple and clean
cloth, with pure and calm looking. You will can not help but want to witness
the natural beauty much more times. Also there are lots of backers along the
way; they have less languages and communications with trekkers or travelers. Surely,
sometimes, they are enthusiastic to invite you to drink beer with them under
shack. It is better you would rather not drink, it is danger if you drink beer;
you should keep calm and go on with your journey.
Medog
After climbing
over the last puerto, Medog is here, it is in front of your eyes!
It is a place
which makes so much people care in their deep dream; it is a place which is
behind crowd city; it is a silence land which is distant from modern nature; it
is a place which is full of lotus flowers. All of that is coming suddenly; you
would not believe you are there after so many difficulties.
Without
estrangement of armored concrete, Medog is so pure!
Without noise
of car, Medog is so silent!
Without traffic
lights, Medog is so free!
Without zebra
crossing, Medog is also orderliness!
