October is a golden month of Tibet travel. There will be many tourists getting into Tibet and traveling in Tibet. When it is October, weather is fine and refreshing; landscape is charming and graceful; it is a perfect scenic spot. Following are the matters which you should pay attention to.

At first you must take some necessary things which are prepared for Tibet travel of October. Especially important certificate, the most importance is identity card for Chinese, Tibet permits for foreigners, and also you should take the student’s identity card (you can enjoy privilege in some scenic spots), fronter pass for Chinese (it will be used in frontier) and bank card (draw money in Lhasa or another convenient place). Surely, environment of Tibet is special for people who are from plain, such as the tourists from Chengdu to Tibet. So you should take some common medicine, for instance, cold medicine, anti-inflammatory, or antidiarrheal, anti-fever medicine etc. Also the daily supplies are needed. Although, there are some daily supplies which are readied for you by the hotel, you would better take these by yourself. Such as the Toothpaste, toothbrush, towel, shampoo, lip balm and sunscreen. If you want to have out of door camp, do remember carrying outdoor equipments—mats, tents, sleeping bags, GPS and so on. Also you can buy the above things in Lhasa. Of course, if it is possible, you can take some convenient food. Do remember taking camera for your journey.

Also it rarely rain, and air is more and more dry. In bright day, it is almost sunny, sky is pretty clear. And average temperature is about ten degrees, it is pleasantly cool.
   Surely, in October, Tibet weather is so cold that you should take some autumn clothes to get into Tibet. Autumn of Tibet come earlier than mainland, earlier October is autumn of Tibet. In Lhasa, Nyingchi, South and other places, the sun is so bright that it is well for you to wear long-sleeved shirts and autumn pants. However temperature is relatively cool in morning and night, you need to add a worm and thick coat. Surely, the temperature of Ali, Namsto or Everest is pretty low. Especially if you are ready to travel to Everest base camp, you should prepare cotton-padded clothes. So you must remember taking some warm clothes.

Wow, it is time to tell you the most beautiful and welcome tourist attractions of Tibet. Earlier of October, no matter human landscape or natural scenery of Tibet are appropriate for tour and sightseeing. It is stated that autumn was the most beautiful season of Tibet. The representative attractions of Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Namsto; and in Shannan, you can travel to Samye monastery or trek from Ganden to Samye and Qing Po ashram; the beauty of Nyingchi includes: Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, Basum Lake and so on. Also it is a good opportunity which you can hike to Medog and have sightseeing of Namjagbarwa; trek in the beautiful Kailash and mysterious Guge Dynasty of Ali, all of the charming views make people fascinated; the magnificent Mount Everest and charming Yamdrok Lake of Shigatse, will make you obsessed; Ranwu Lake is like a fairyland; the ecological protection area of Hoh Xil is a quite perfect and special scenic spot.

Last but not the least, there are some matters needing attention for your Tibet travel. In National Day period, there will be a large number of tourists visiting the mysterious Tibet; train tickets will be very limited, you must be scheduled well in advance of the ticket, so as not to affect travel. Also tourist price will rise a little than usual. The hotel of Lhasa will be very nervous, you would better book room before get in Tibet, or you can not find a place to stay. It would be a very troublesome thing.
