One of the three Tibetan odds: making the bath as the festival

The Bathing Festival of the Tibet, it is named “Ga Ma Ri Ji”. In Tibetan, and actually, it is the “washing festival”. When every the first ten-day period of the July in Tibetan calendar, the Tibetans will spend joyfully the Bathing Festival in the local river, and it will sustain for a month. Well, if you come to the Tibet and have the Lhasa and Tibet travel, and if you want to spend the Bathing Festival in the Lhasa, you must get to the riverside of the Lhasa. When in the Bathing Festival period, the riverside of the Lhasa always is full of the warm and happiness.

 

Making the bathing as a festival to spend; I am afraid there is only Tibetan nationality in the various nations of the world.

 

 

 

 

When the first ten-day period of the July in Tibetan calendar, the rainy season of the plateau just go away, the weather is fine and warm, the sun is shining brightly; the laborious and pure Tibetans get in crowds and get out happily; they bring along with the young and the old, get to the river. In the bright day, they wash the clothes; and when it is to the night, they have fun and swim with abandon; washing the travel fatigue of the whole year.

In the Lhasa River, you can witness that no matter the man or woman, the old or young, all of the Tibetans will get to the river in an endless stream; they put off their beautiful and handsome clothes, wash their skin in the river which is pure and without pollution, and comb their black, bright and long hair.

 

 

Sometimes, even the all of the family members will get out; they take the barely wine, the buttered tea and the Zanba; also carry the cloth, the cushion, the carpet, the Tibet wool and so on. They have the bath and wash the clothes in the river, also enjoy the delicious food in the river side by the way. They spend the Bathing Festival leisurely.

 

 

  

It is said by the folklore that if the people have the bath in the Bathing Festival will wash away the disease; the man will build his body, the woman will invigorate the circulation of blood; it will wash the different gynecology disease and bring the luck and auspicious of the next year. Stare remotely at the Tibetans people washing, unexpectedly find a little detail, when they use the liquid shampoo and the washing appliance not to wash in the river directly, but have the washing in the basin, and then fall the water in the distance, in order to avoid polluting the holy river. Well, the perceptions of the environmental protection enjoy popular support in the Tibetans.
