When we go out to tour, except appreciating beautiful nature view, local dietary habit is to your taste or not is also important. However, if you want to taste really Tibetan food, you would better come to Arrow Cabin, it is identified original Tibetan food by tourists and local people. Now, this restaurant has moved to south of Jokhang Temple. It is easy to find that you can only inquire any local people about Arrow Cabin. Also there is some special and delicious Tibetan food recommendation for you, ox tongue, roasting mutton chops, mutton stew radish.

  2. Snowland Restaurant

Snowland Restaurant is located in Dan Juelin road, in next door of Snowland Hotel. It is with excellent public reputation not only because of its serving and food, but also because of its environment. There is Tibetan food and western-style food. And even if you are come to have Tibet travel from Nepal, there is delicious Nepal meal. Culinary art is perfect, and taste is well. What is more, price belongs to medium. When you have no advice about which to eat, Snowland is a nice choice, and you will be never regret. Special cuisine conclude curry and potato meal, XU-GU-MOMO, acidophilus milk, buttered tea, zanba and fry mutton chops.

 3. Gangji Restaurant

Gangji restaurant is located in opposite of Snowland-Hotel, facing Jokhang Temple. Also, it takes Tibetan meal as the principal food. And you can taste local and authentic Tibetan meal in there. What is more, you can enjoy Jokhang Temple in second floor of Gangji restaurant. It is a nice choice if you want to know more about Tibetan original foods.

    Monster ox salon restaurant is located in Beijing East Road’s number of 101. It is an old and famous restaurant. It is different for another traditional Tibetan restaurant, because this restaurant sideline Tibetan and Han food. Although it is with ancient year and famous fame, price of its food is moderate and proper. Wow, what is more interesting, there is some national dance in night. Environment and decorating of house and outdoor are full of Tibetan characteristic. You can enjoy the special feeling when you eating.

    5. Wei Gazi restaurant

It is located in west of Ya hotel. This restaurant is with a lot of famous and delicious food. Such as curry and potato, coke chicken and some other foods are not only delicious, but also special and characteristic. Also, you can talk your travel experience and interesting meeting.

    6. Snow Jingu

Snow Jingu is located in east of the Potala Palace, surrounding is elegance. And you will witness a special and charming view in there; it is not natural view, but a scene of waiters. All of them are Tibetan girls, and they are stand for Tibetan and Tibetan tour. Snow Jingu is one of the most slap-up Tibetan restaurants. So because of that, price of there is much more expensive. You will spend more than one hundred Yuan, but you will taste simon-pure Tibetan food. Also you can taste beef paste, fry lamb chop, Tibetan steamed stuffed bun, pouring blood sausage, yoghourt.

      7. Lhasa Restaurant

Lhasa Restaurant provides experience but special and characteristic Tibetan meal. Each people will spend about 120 Yuan. Furthermore, there is the most delicious coffee of Tibet. If you are willing to feel different and unique coffee in Tibet, you can consider about Lhasa restaurant.

8. The Third Eye

In addition, buttered tea and sweet tea of Tibetan is necessary for you to drink. The Third Eye, it is located in opposite Nepal small restaurant of Ya Hotel also has public praise. You can ask “Martha Ladi” to have a try; because it is added many Nepal spice, so there is a special taste in it. It only needs several Yuan that you can have a hot drink. On the other side, grilled fillet steak is so delicious and special.

  It is a grate pity if you get to Lhasa but not have a try about local flavoured Tibetan meal. There is another Tibetan restaurant from north of Barkhor street to center of Beijing road in Lhasa. You can get to there from your hotel and if you have experienced a long trek from Yangbajain to Lhasa, it is convenience for you to find the various restaurants. Above all, Tibetans’ generations live in snow plateau, facing wicked nature environment, since ancient times, they have formed their unique and characteristic diet. In the wake of improvement of scientific knowledge and culture level, Tibet will be more booming and flourishing.
